Selamat sore! 👋 (Good evening in Bahasa Indonesian)
Just in case you haven’t noticed, it’s been sizzling hot today and the haze wasn’t making it any better… but! No worries, because we went to the Parque Garcia Sanabria again! 🌳
On this day’s adventure we had great fun in the playground eventhough it was so hot. In the maze ee saw some spiderwebs this time! 🕸 It was a bit spooky. The children played games like Tag or Hide-and-Seek, while others were on the swings or roleplayed with the different monuments. The kids also had fun bouncing on the wooden trampolines and the tall seesaw, sometimes they needed help to get on it! We drank some nice and chilly water when we were done playing and exploring, to stay hydrated. 💧Don’t forget to drink lots of water!
Back at the urban camp we continued to rehearse our Indonesian dances and instrumental rhythms in the music workshop. 🎶 We played some sports as well, but not too much because of the heat. ☀ Some of us prepared our traditional Indonesian costumes too, but you’ll have to wait to see them finished!
It’s been a nice and fun Friday, I hope you all hace a great evening. See you on Monday! 🌺
On this really summery thursday we started off playing some sports on the playground and after that the youngest girls(3/4 y.o.) tried playing some
chess games on the playroom, it was really interesting but a little bit hard! Group number 1, began the morning to the rhythm of “Mister golden sun”, to call the sun out, since it was a bit cloudy…
Meanwhile some were crafting, and the others spent some time practicing music for our super awesome Indonesian show.
After the super fun morning filled with awesome activities and sports, and a much wanted breakfast, we all headed to the pool by turns and completed the day after lunch with some meditation to calm down the nerves from all the excitement today!
Hi families! The sport of today was TENNIS! I decided to choose this sport because many children had never played tennis before and they themselves were saying that they didn’t like and they didn’t know how to play. Nevertheless, at the end of the day many of them asked me to comtinue playing and saying to me that they had liked very much. Finally we pass a great day enjoying ourselves and learning how to play to the tennis. Every day is learned something new!
On the meridian
We are in the meridian of the workshop, we have mastered two dances, and three melódics rhythmic accompaniments for them. As a complement to our Indonesian training, we have become familiar with the creation for a typical instrument… the bread flute. For this, with the help of our teacher, we have selected plastic canes, simulating the bambu, and we created our bread flute.
We loved the experience of seeing that we are able to créate our own instrument, wich we then play.
In these days we continue to perfect our melodies and try to play with the musical dynamics and nuances, aspect that cost us a bit for their difficulty, but we know what we are going to achieve.
Finally, just like every day, we proceded to meditated after eating, to establish a reflection of What was done during the day, and dedicate ourselves a few minutes to find ourselves in peace.
Great day today.
This glorious Monday morning we have started off our week learning about the sea, the children have learnt about different sea creatures. In crafts we have made our very own dolphin bracelets, we got to choose the colour of our dolphin and the beads. In our playroom time we have coloured in some sea animals and learnt their names, starfish, dolphin, seahorse and octopus. In our English lessons the children have done a variety of activities, each age group have done something slightly different. The older children have been practicing their acts for Camps got Talent, this was so much fun. Whilst the smaller children have been practicing their summer vocabulary with a worksheet and some videos, and lots of summer songs. Mainly vocabulary of objects you find at the beach.
The children have enjoyed their day, we work hard but play hard too! 🌞
