English Urban Summer Camp: Day 28

Well it is that time again, time to say goodbye. I would rather say see you soon, as for many of us we will see each other in September and if not we hope you join us again in our future camps.

Today as it was our last day we have had a day packed with different activities.

We have enjoyed a basketball training circuit, and played duck duck goose where our monitors also joined in the fun.

We made our very own stress relief balls, filling the balloons with corn flour and shaving foam. We also ended up having a small foam fight which was great fun.

After, we have had a blast with the water guns and hose pipe, where once again the monitors all joined in. The children loved getting us soaked!

To finish off our day we watched the film Rio based in Brazil.

Have a brilliant summer and we all hope to see you again next summer!

English Urban Summer Camp: Day 27

Closing Urbam Camp

Finally our great day arrived, our staging with our costumes that with so much dedication and enthusiasm we have made.

It should be noted that e very detail of the decoration, each flower, palm tree, parrot, pineapple,etc.. has been painted by children in the craft activity.

In the musical part, we have put into practice our dance ( Samba),we have closed our eyes, and we have teleported to Brazil, to dance and to practice with our batucada.

For a few minutes we have smelled brazilian rhythmic aromas..

We have loved our camp… we loved sharing these moments with classmates and also having met and shared with others that we knew.

Once again it has been a success!.

English Urban Summer Camp: Day 26

And so the last week begins! This Monday we have practiced our show, the one we will do this Wednesday. We are very excited and we have put a lot of effort into it. We put our clothes on and did the brasilian dances. During breakfast we had anither special moment as it was Dario’s birthday, we sang happy birthday to him and ate a delicious cake. After breakfast, we had a lovely time in our pools, splashing and refreshening in the nice cool water. See you tomorrow!

English Urban Summer Camp: Day 25

Last Friday on campus! We cannot believe it but to make it as fun as possible we did a Treasure Hunt! There were 6 clues set out for the children to find. Blue, green, red and yellow were the 4 teams, and in each team there were kids from different ages, and the oldest accompanied the youngest ones. It was very exciting and the winning team was the RED one. They found the treasure which was a cup!

After breakfast, we had our usual pool time but with more water than the other days! We splashed and jumped, enjoying each second spent in the water.

We also celebrated Isabel‘s birthday (even though it is tomorrow), we sang to her and ate her lovely Minions cake.

And the Camp is really coming to an end but we are enjoying every single second of it! Until Monday!

English Urban Summer Camp: Day 24

Today was the last Thursday of the camp.Time is going fast and unfortunately there is little left for this to end, that’s why we are enjoying and making the most of every moment.

Today we have dedicated the day to prepare all the end of camp performance ¡¡¡We already know almost all the steps!!!.

And since it was so hot we decided to take a dip in the pool before eating.
